Here is the 'new' Airfix Vickers Valiant model in 1/72 scale. I started this back in 2009 for the Orangecon Theme of British subjects. I had imagined bringing all three of my V-bombers to the contest, but this one didn't get done......until now.

I now have all three of Britain's V-bombers in my Royal Air Force.

To start, here is the bottom of the aircraft, showing the respectable bomb load this thing carries:

Here are two shots of it sitting on it's landing gear waiting for clearance to take off to patrol the ceiling:

This is how it looks from the top. This pic also shows how big this monster is:

Well, there it is. I am so glad that yet another Modeling New Years Resolution is completed. Now I can move on again. Thanks everyone for looking in, comments are welcome.

Nice! She is a big beast, isn't she? So that makes six sideliners done so far this year? Good deal!

Thanks guys! I appreciate it.

Yes, Carlos, she is a big beast indeed! I think the only other British bomber that was bigger was the Vulcan, at least in wing area. eah, that's six shelf queens moved off the bench and onto the shelf... so to speak.

Jim, this model is about 2 feet in wingspan. Maybe a little more. Quite difficult to maneuver on my tiny workspace.

Duke, that is a terrific build. Love the camo. I've come close to getting the V-series a few times...may yet have to do that.

Thanks Lyle and Manny. Lyle, I have all three V-bombers camouflaged. It just made it easier than trying to paint them white.

Manny, I appreciate the compliment, it means a lot coming from you. I never would have guessed that you would comment on any of my finished models given how far below you my skills and abilities are. Thank you again.

Thanks Medic! It feels great to get a long-term project off the bench and onto the shelf!
