yah, I take a glob of 0000 steel wool (find it in the paint section at at hardware store), and scrub the plane with it. The 0000 is a finishing grit, and it evens out the paint ridges, as well as making things smooth for the gloss coat. Kinda gives things a semi-gloss sheen. You can also use it on BMF to change the tone of the foil

this is the bag I have, I think it was only like 4 bucks or something. Its lasted a long time too!!

I've used the stuff for years on all types of models: armor, figs and a/c...just remember to use the very fine grade of it...it will actually :quotes: polish :quotes: the plastic...works well on most resin too...

No problem. The best thing about it is you can tear small pieces from the larger pads and ball it up like a sponge to attack difficult areas like wing joints and other compound curves and it does a faster job and covers more area than sandpaper because everything it touches is getting smoothed out...just make sure you but the kind without the embedded soap in them...and the finer grits like 000...just sayin...

To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..
