1/72 Hasegawa EA-18G (finished, pg 7)

FINALLY managed to squeeze in some bench time!
Picked up some SAC, white metal, landing gears on the cheap...thought I'd see what all the hubbub was about. Not overly impressed...just a copy of the kit parts...no more, no less
Decided to start with those...much detail is missing, so I added some junk!
(comparison with kit parts)
Side note...looks like work is gonna be slowing down, so I should be getting some bits and pieces of bench time here and there!

So basically what you are saying is that Fermis needs to bin them now to prevent future regret???
Having worked with white metal myself I could see that some long oleos struts would bend, especially in larger scale planes but I'm thinking that in 72nd, with the types of struts here (with multiple bracings) they should be okay...

I had same jelly experience in 72 too, an MB-339 from aeroclub short run kit... one of white metal gears going down till the wing touchs the ground

If you don't mind me asking but what material is the white metal made of? Certainly sound like it's something pliable.
