I built this kit for a "build what you bought at auction" challenge for our AMPS Chapter here. I bought it at the AMPS fundraising auction last year and I think that I paid $5 for the kit. It is the old Alan kit of the SU-76M reboxed by Dragon in the 90s.. I built it up OOB, painted it based off of some photos from the Battle of Berlin, added some Miniart crew figures, and made up a rubble filled street base, for a proper Berlin setting in April 1945.

Thanks for looking, comments and critiques are welcome...

The build looks great! The SU-76M is for me totally new, cannot recall I ever seen that before.
But the figures, what an excellent paintwork! They look very real!
Figures are tricky, they can really spoil a build, but these guys do the opposite!

Thank you Kari! I really do like these Miniart crew figures. They add a great dimension of animation to the basic build. The Su-76M was the second most numerous Soviet AFV of WWII, and that only to the T-34. Basicly a 76mm field gun mounted on a modified T-70 light tank chassis. The original vehicle was closed top, but the M version switched to the open superstructure here. I suspect that it was influenced by captured Marders.

Thank you Lyle! My figures are finally starting to get to a point where I think that I can actually begin to put them in a contest and think that I have a chance compared to some of the guys I go up against regularly. :hmm:

Cool build Stik. It is a bit of a forgotten vehicle so it is great to see it being done justice by such an excellent build.

Thanks Borg. It's funny how this was the second most numerous Soviet AFV of WWII, yet they are pretty rare to see built up at any website or hobby meet/contest.

Sorry Stik, I don't check out the armor section often enough!

This is a really nice build - the 76 itself looks great and I really like your crew figures - well done Sir!
