More projects more problems. But I started another WIP. This is the ZTS Plastyk/Mikro 72 kit of the RWD-8 in scale 1/72. I bought this dirt cheap at the Aviationmegastore for just one euro!

And the first parts for nicely. I dressed up the cockpit with some stretched sprue and Kips tape.

Yes, it is an interbellum aircraft. The instructions are in Polish so I have to quote the wiki for this one.

I want to build a civilian version: red and silver. But I must say there are a lot of interesting possibilities. The RWD 8 was used in the Spanish civil war, WW2 and one of the first aircraft of the Israeli airforce.

And the fuselage is closed. I forgot to take some pics of the painted inside. So here it is all buttoned up.





The fit is quite nice on the top but there is a bit of a large seam on the underside. So it is going to need some putty.

Never heard about this little trainer!
I can see some similarities with the Tiger Moth, especially the front..

This version use the same Gipsy engine as the Tiger Moth so the similarities are indeed very big.

As for being an unknown aircraft, that was the same for me. I bought it because of the good price.
In the early 90's the Dutch market was flooded with cheap Eastern European kits (KP, SMER, Plastyk, Plastikard, etc). Those kits still surfacing from time to time.

looks good, I have th RWD in 1:48 in stash, think I build a spanish civial war plane, but the red and gray one looks good too
