From Eduard Profipack 8286 (1:48), markings for Alfred Grislawski. Testors Model Master and Vallejo acrylics, AMMO Panel Line Wash, Uschi van der Rosten elastic rigging line. An enjoyable build, I completed it in Oct 2014. It was the only thing I bought at the 2014 IPMS-USA Nationals in Hampton, VA.

Always nice to see great 109 builds, as this one. Master piece

This is great and interesting pilot subject (had to check on wikipedia for more information)
Always making the build more interesting when there is a history behind it.

Thanks, Kari. Eduard is pretty good at selecting markings for their kits. I'm looking forward to their upcoming retooling of this kit, supposed to be released in a couple of months, first as a combo kit, with the Profipack and Weekend Edition to follow.

As for choosing a specific pilot's aircraft, the Bf 109 I'd love to build next is Gerhard Barkhorn's. Last year, I ordered the book The Forgotten Ace: Fighter Pilot Gerhard Barkhorn from publisher Luftfahrtverlag-Start. It's a well-written and beautifully produced book.

They're also offering a decal sheet with markings of all planes he's flown in WW2.

Very nice 109 you have there. Oh, and welcome to the forum!
