Sorry for the typo KSaarni.... Coming from a small country myself I now how irritating it can be if some one misspells the name or a derivative thereof.

Sweet, ive been out for winter because my airbrush is playing up (pebbly finish and inconsistent flow rates) hopefully now that its warmer i can give it a decent clean and try again. I might get stuck in this weekend if i can find some time.
Just a quick question, can anyone point me in the right direction for details on letter heights and colours for BoB spitfires?

The Squadron codes should be medium sea grey, but the height had variation. Check references on your subject unit.

Squadron codes are ok, theyre the smaller type, im wondering about the serial number more than anything. I remember seeing a list ages ago that had the heights and widths of all the letter and number markings used on spitfires, but i cant for the life of me remember where i saw it.

I do not like that one bit! The panel lines and weathering are way over done, the pliot figures are very static and the roundels are the wrong color: Greek roundels should be blue...... :ggun: :drum:

Well, boys and girls, it is October 1st. Start your glue smearing. We could use a few more entries, so all you LURKERS out there, c'mon and build something. Except for Stikpusher, we are all harmless. Well, Stik and Bitbite....Ok, Stik, Bitbite and Manny. Okay, so most of us are wanted in more states, municipalities and countries than not...we still like bunnies and kittens.

LET'S GO BUILD SOMETHING. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!

The serial numbers/letters were a standard size and format. But they were also somewhat confusing- for counter intelligence purposes I suppose. The letter combo prefixes jumped around, and the numbers while sequential, seemed to never start somewhere easy like 001 and end at a logical point before switching. If you are looking for decals, try Xtradecals, they make a comprehensive set of those in most scales.
Are you looking for a specific aircraft & unit?

Would it make you feel better to go and tase somebody? Surely, there is a perp that needs it. Find something simple and jump in. That was the advice to me - get started on something.
