P-40 in the ETO - Airfix 1/72 Tomahawk mk.I

Post by Stuart »

Hi all,

Here's my first build for this GB - Airfix's new tool P-40B in the scheme of 112 sqn RAF.

112 Sqn was part of the Desert Air Force in North Africa, and was the first P-40 user to add the famous 'Shark Mouth'.

Here's the kit - started but not as far as it looks...

Decals....

That's all for now

Cheers !

Desert camos look so good!

:lashed: Yep - P-40's with sharkmouths are cool!

No movement on this yet, as I'm trying to finish another model, but I have decided on how it'll be presented when finished. It's going to be wheels up with a propblur, on a desert base mixing it with a bf109.

not sure how to do the sand yet, but I'll figure it out.

Very good, Portman. Somehow, I missed this one. Must have had the good eye closed. Great start.
