Looks great, Owl. Is the Zero wing fold built into the kit, or is that some gizmology?

its built into the kit, actually! There is some minor surgery where you remove the original (unfolded) wingtips, but the folded tips are separate parts.

eh, life happened. What can ya do?

Im going for a beaten up Zero. The markings are for a bird from '44, so thinking things were getting tough on the japanese at this point, and their planes showed that.

I 'primed' the model with krylon silver, and once that cured, I painted on a splotchy, faded finish with my ususal testor enamels.

Once the enamels were just barely dry to the touch, I laid down bits of tape where I wanted the chipping to be. TUG! off goes the paint! Ill add a nit more chipping once the decals are down, so everything matches

both little birdies are now ready for decals!

New chipped method on me - but looks good though, as does the 109!

A couple of weathered beat up aircraft. Nicely done, Owl!

Two superb builds there Owl - I really like the beaten up appearance of them both - great stuff!
