talk of a Gulf War I group build inspired me to start on this kit. My father served during desert storm, and I remember Mom putting a long paper chain around my room to count how many days until Daddy comes home. I was like, two I think?
Dad would want me to build an f111, so ....
SPARK VARK!!!
I got really excited and forgot to take cockpit pics before I closed 'er up, but here is the front section all ready to go
monogram devided an...interesting way of inserting the front fuselage to the main body. You just kinda slot things together?
clampy, clampy!

Cool project!
The Vark is strange to me...one day, it's absolutely beautiful...and the next it's ugly as sin. Just depends on my mood I guess.
PS...I think there should have been a 111 in Ace Combat 4. Woulda been great on a couple of the "missions"!

The Hasegawa kit is good...just needs a bit of minor surgery to open the slot in the fuselage, for the wings to be swung back. OOB, ya don't get the option, just open.

Nice to see an F-111 being built Owl.
I live down the road from RAF Upper Heyford and it's a shame not to see them about anymore.
