HAWK bf-109g

you know that old HAWK kit I nabbed at the model sale? I really only wanted the box, but I figured I could slap the old thing together, too. At 1/72 scale there isnt much too the kit--like, 10 pieces. really....

The first thing to do was give it some sort of cockpit. The kit only supplied a pilot figure and a tab for him to sit on. Blah. So, I scrapped together something really basic to fill the pit.

Even without my added cockpit, the two fuselage halves were misalligned. I trimmed off the alignment tabs and squared things the best I could. One side even had a slight warp to it, which seems impressive given how thick the plastic is...
