1:48 Jakowlew Jak-9

A standard fighter of the russian air force, build 16.769 aircrafts, was in combat in WW2 and korean war...

these are models from ICM/Alanger, with engine and some good details, but need to filler and grind a little bit and the decals are not todays standard..

Wow ! I never heard of Jak-9s by the Russians in WW2. Love the Polish markings on the undersides of wings.

Great builds Cherrylock!

Sidenote..
One learn indeed every day something new.. I was not aware of this fact before, but even the French Air Force used Jak-9's... Yes, on the Eastern front a special French fighter squadron operated alongside the Russians.

Yaks a lot! I love these Cherry, what a nice collection of builds. I have the ICM 9T in the stash and was surprised at some of the nice detail it features. Well done indeed. :bow:
