The kit pit...

That's all there is and that just won't do!

Added side walls, consoles, IPs, seats and stick.

Are your fingers swollen or is this CP THAT TINY? I'm impressed, Mr. Surgeon. 1/144, sheeesh...

Do you already thought about how to break off the black monotony?

Man.... I'll be crossed eyed for life if I tried any detailing on a 1/144 scale cockpit. Amazing work Fermis!!

wow Fermis that's really great work in such a small size - you must have mega-vision or something... :shoutout:

I'm still rockin 20/20+ vision. I'm sure it won't be long though...I'll end up payin for it!

Been doing a little bit here and there on this one, and have it painted now.

Started with solid black, then "marbled" with white, then oversprayed thin coats of very dark (almost black) grey.

I'll do a bit more weathering on it, to help break up the monotone black.

Nice! I wonder if you can see anything of all those details in the cockpit. Are you going to open the canopy?

Canopies open...as you'll see. I had to separate the windscreen and pilots canopy, as they were a one piece deal.

The gear bays are the only areas who tell the small scale. Otherwise its a fantastic replica of the SR-71.
Black base and marbling seems to work well even on small surfaces. Very convincing, Fermis!
