Here are my first models completed for the new year 2016!

The first one is Dragon's 1/72 scale M-103A1 heavy tank assembled, painted and decaled in about one hour. Total finish time about an hour and ten. It's painted with Model Master enamels, washed with Windsor-Newton oils thinned with Mona Lisa thinner and weathered with the Tamiya weathering powders:





This is Small Scale Vehicle number 678 in my collection.


Next up is Tiger Model's 1/72 scale M1A2 Abrams SEP TUSK II. This one was painted with Model Master enamels, washed with Windsor-Newton oils thinned with Mona Lisa thinner and weathered with the Tamiya weathering powders. It was a challenging little build but one of the most enjoyable models I've done to date:







This is Small Scale Vehicle number 679 in my collection.

I need to find a better background for these tanks. That Abrams looks like it's sitting in a sandstorm!

70 minutes to do a tank build? Don´t let Cherrylock hear that!

The M103 is a rare thingie. I am not sure there is a 1/35 scale kit?!? I like both of those builds! Both look very harmonious, nothing to complain on!

Nice to see these additions completed! But like the other guys, 70 minutes? I'm good if I can get the road wheels assembled and the seams sanded off in that timeframe...

interresting and different tanks, speed modeler work with a super result, hope we see more..

To clarify, the time spent building the M-103 was the actual working time on that model. I did not count drying time for glue and paint that took an extra five to seven hours of time. But yeah, strictly speaking about the actual working time; this beastie took only 70 minutes.

That would explain why it took so long. Push harder next time!
