the Yokosuka/Kawanishi K5Y1 "Akatombo" Type 93 was the japanese trainer for the navy, with and w/o floats, equal configurtion to the Stearman but today real seldom in real and on the model bench to.

this is the old Arii kit, not so detail but the best and only I know, the decals are good, 2 versions(one overall orange, and the build one)

I remember seeing that kit in a few LHSs many years back. I have never seen one built until now. Very nice work! :shoutout:

thanks, for a model often seen on markets but no one want to build this it is a big fun to seen you like this, old Otaki/Arii is not so bad.

Nice one Cherrylock.

It looks like a string of rigging has become loose on the right side. you can often get these tight again by (gently!) heating them. for instance with a hot iron nail.
