Another project to accompany the 111 on the bench!

I still don't know how you do it with multiple builds on the bench. I would have sensory overload!!!

I did one of those Hasegawa Hawkeye kit back in the day. A fun build. I wonder if I still have it?

Got started!

Opening up the crew door...



Drilled out around the door, then cut it out...



There is no detail in there and some of the "floor" needs to be cut away to make room.



I ddin't bother to put "faces" on the equipment, by the door...just sides.





Cobbled some junk together for the opposite wall...

Looking forward to this...I went the other extreme and built the 1/32 Kinetic kit a while back done up in the WWII scheme....

Great work Fermis on the internals with the Hawkeye !

How much nose weight will you / did you put in the birdies front ? Would guess massive amounts due to / thanks to the big dish...

I'm a bit embarrassed....suffering from brain flatulence Fermis...for some reason I was thinking Intruder and not Hawkeye....I do not have a 1/32 version of this one

I did do some field biology work at Miramar in the early 90's and remember these flying directly overhead whenI was parked at the end of the flightline- so I have a place in my heart for these

I really don't know...but I do know that it will be substantial! That disc is heavy...plus with the wings hanging back there too....

Gonna pack as much lead in the "cheeks"(a bit of space between the pit side consoles - nose gear bay...a bit more space in front of the IP...also enough room to get about a dozen pennies in behind the pit, along with some sheet lead around the sides...probably some room in the nacelles as well. She'll probably be beyond scale weight!!!
