Here's another "old fart" from my collection.
AMD Mirage IIIC, EC 1/2 "Cigognes", Dijon-Longvic, 1964
Being a huge fan of the Tanguy & Laverdure comics since I was a kid, it was a mere formality to depict Eduard's Mirage in EC 1/2 Cigognes colours.

Building the Eduard kit was quite tricky, the latter suffering from severe mould offsets and pretty bad overall fit requiring many, many hours of dry-fitting, sanding and rescribing. Anyway, it was well worth to go some serious lengths in finishing this kit.
I used Aclad 2 colours to replicate the natural metal finish of this IIIC.
Shades of Tanguy et Laverdure...
The kits seat was replaced with an aftermarket MDC/Adeco seat.
"2-EQ" served for more than three decades, finally retiring from French Air Force in September 1988. In 1996 the aircaft was sold to Pakistan.

Always nice to see a French bird! Open canopy really makes a huge difference in the looks, great Erik!

The advantage of old farts: They don't stink anymore.

Just wonderfull and beautifull built !!!
Paint is just .....like the real plane !!!
This kit is not "realy easy to built" and your result is PERFECT.
Your weathering is absolutly perfect...just what is needed !!!
Congrat to your pictures too....
I applause !!!!
Un Migage, c'est un Mirage et rien d'autre ne peut lui ressembler !!!!!!! BRAVO pour ce splendide montage.

Very nicely done indeed! Such a beautiful finish! So this is a tricky kit to build? I will keep that in mind when I tackle mine one day... But it will be in IDF camo, so no difficult NMF finish,,,

It seems that you corrected the landing gear length, right ? Is it aftermarket or is it handmade ?
