The First and the Last (and one in the middle) - RAF Spits

Hi All,
Sorry for not posting these up in WIP, but I've had a rather manic 6 weeks building Spitfires for a GB on a UK forum to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first flight of the Supermarine Spitfire. We set ourselves the task of building ALL varients of the Spitfire and Seafire in the 6 weeks of the GB.
I was given the job of building the first and last RAF Spitfires, and a Pink PR Spitfire.
All models are brush painted with a number 4 round tipped brush and Humbrol Acrylics. The Gloss and Matt coats were Windsor and Newton Galeria Acrylic Varnishes - the best I've found yet for brush painting.
Here are the results,
Airfix 1/72 Spitfire mk.I (early) circa 1938
Airfix 1/72 Spitifre F mk.24 – circa 1950 – aircraft based in Hong Kong during the Malaysia Crisis.
The Airfix kit is for a mk.22 but I had mk.24 decals from the xtradecal sheet. Anyway the only differences are internal, the mk.24 had a 24 volt electrical system and a few other guage changes. The rockets are from a FROG Sea Vemon kit (and the tailwheel is also from a FROG kit becuase the carpet moster ate the kit one!!)
Special hobby 1/72 Spitfire PR mk.X – possibly the worst kit I’ve ever made and I'll never build another SP kit as long as I live..Ever...
I mixed the PRU Pink myself using a few ref's from the net. I think I got pretty close given it was my first time at mixing my own paint colour.
Not the best images - sorry. I was so hacked off with these building these things by April the 10th I just did it quickley

Nice trio of Spits! I really like the late Marque build.
