Finally, after all this time, I can show this very large model completed. This is the Russian Be-6 Madge seaplane in 1/72 scale by Trumpeter:





You can see here I gave her a full weapons loadout:

That's my first of four very large subjects completed. Hopefully the others won't be too far behind.

The exhaust marks on the engines look really nice!

Looking forward to next biggies + perhaps a group photo of the them all when finalized? If possible?

Thanks Kari! I wasn't sure if I went too far,e specially since I never saw top photos of this plane. I just figured that most Russian engines of the time ran dirty and applied soot accordingly.

As for a group pic when they're all done, I don't think so. I don't have the space to do it! The only possibility would be if I can transport all of them to St. Crispin's Hobby Day without breaking a whole mess of parts in transit. It'll be awhile though; the rest of them are a long way away from being done.

Thanks Blacksheep! For the first time in awhile, something turned out at least as good as I'd hoped it would. There's still a few issues, but overall it is right where I wanted it to be.

BsYamato is going to be so jealous. He has been wanting this kit for ages. And now you pull off this great build.

Thanks Borg! I wonder why he hasn't seen this yet? He must be really busy working on his models.

All I did was build this OOB. I know he'll line the interior with ribbing and do all kinds of extra things to his that didn't happen to mine. That will be a treat to see!

And the master turns out another 72nd scale beauty!! You da man for doing this good work in this scale. I'll never see that scale. lol

Thanks Joe, I am honored by your reply. I don't consider myself a Master. When I can take a "Best of" award in aircraft, then I know I'll be worthy of that title. Until then, I'm gonna keep having a blast building these model up!

Also, I wouldn't sell yourself short. This had enough large pieces that you could easily do this!
