Started about two weeks ago this second dewoitine old fighter version, i built the 510 probably two year ago.
Not so much work till now but heres the wip :bored:

Box'n'sprues :

The kit, as the 510 it's a rebox of the old heller kits, good quality for the period , raised details out of the control surfaces , few pieces that nees some little detail cure.

Starting from wings and cockpit inner struts

Image

Almost cut off horizontal rudders and glued toward ground

Image

not bad the seat but i prefere more accuracy, then removed side walls and put sonme detail in the bottom and wrapped a plastic sheet into the seat

Image

cutting refine and putty

Image

To the wings :
Added central fuel tank and the four sections in the wings with thinner plastic sheet i have (or not :hmm: ), some detail to add again at next round

Image

The propeller with replaced 20 mm gun (yes, 20 mm!!!) with a brass tube

Image

First arrangement of wall instruments, after i see the wheel and the trhottle was too much forward..

Image

Image

the following week (this..) builded the floor with rudder pedals and cut the IP basement.. here i see some of wall instruments was too much forward :(

Image

The start of control stik, from a stretched sprue

Image

Image

and ready

Image

Image

The excess of sprue at the basement helped the sctratch session giving a good grip :quotes:

cut the excess and in place , glued from the bottom

Image

the other side corrected in some way

Image

I forget about! i filled the inner wings basement in the fuselage with plastic pieces to have a correct inner fuselage !

The two IP finished and the seat with the belts hole done

Image

That's all till now.. for this kit :DH:

Great work on that control stick, very delicate but porbably also very visible because the open cockpit.

Great work BSY - I remember your last build of this kit and this one looks like it'll be just as good.

This thing had a 20mm gun? - not bad.

Many thanks :)

Painting last night after the primer with acrilycs. A drop of clear into the IP instrumets , also thinned clear on the walls for the incoming washing.

Oh no, "Pathetic" being too strong word in this case, in my opinion looks very good, especially as it is a 1/72 propeller!
