Nice and clean, well molded, and fine recessed lines...almost as fine as a frog hair split three ways!



Decals include options for 26...yes, TWENTY SIX different aircraft...



Those TWINTY SIX options are only for two scheme options though...so really, other than the "special" markings, the only difference is the number.



This being a 2x combo, I'll do one of each scheme.

These being 1/200 and quite basic, I took em to the airport with me, to work on while waiting for the snow to pile up enough to go take care of it.
I painted the inside of the cockpit area flat black, before packing em up in my "travel box". (I work on quite a few models while waiting on snow...just what I can do without having to take paint)

So far, it's nothing but the most basic of model building! No issues...just nip, trim and glue em up!

Sorry for the poor lighting. This is on my airport "bench"...office counter with crappy lighting!
Also...these seem like they'll be quite tail heavy. I CAed a 45cal muzzleloader bullet in the front...that oughta do it!

Interesting aircraft. I think this is one of those models Hasegawa primarily makes for their domestic market.

It is a cool looking plane. I'd be "in" if they put out a full line of 1/200 transports...of this quality.
C-5, C-141, C-17, C-130, KC-135, etc...to name a few.

I had to go to Scalemates.com to see how much 1:200 stuff there actually is and was surprised of the amount found!
Of course, Hasegawa being the biggest maker and mostly civilian aircrafts..

Have these guys ready for some paint.

Overall, the fit has been just about perfect. A little sanding needed at the wing root(on top), a small amount of putty were the engine pylons meet the wings leading edge...other than the general seams clean up, that's been it!
Getting the "glass" in place was a pain in the caboose. I had to bevel the top inner edge of the "glass" to be able to slip it into place.

Got this pair of C-1's painted.
The color call out were a bit vague, so I just mixed what I had on hand. Close counts in horse shoes, hand grenades and scale modeling!!!
My paint job has a few spots I'm not thrilled with and could be better...I admit to my own laziness here.
Glossed up and ready for decals...



In hindsight...I would leave off the engines, like I did for the one...trying to mask and get paint on the inside of the nacelles and fuselage was a PITA!

Looking mighty nice.

Decals...well, they're the typical Hasegawa decals...not horrible, not great. They're more orange than red.

I'd be "in" if they did those in 1/72 scale! Granted, they have 1/72 scale C-130's and KC-135's, but I'd love to see the C-5, C-141, and C-17! Come on Zoukei Mura! If not them, then maybe Modelcollect will do them...
