Nice kit very fiddly. Instructions are horrible. Mislabeled part numbers. Missing paint call outs. Vague placement for parts. But I will build another

I dint weather this too much. Built it as a mid 1941 before the U.S. entered the war

Looks good to me... They only saw combat at Midway with one Marine squadron. They also did serve briefly in the Atlantic on board Ranger and Wasp, but saw no action.

Johnny, a simple plain colored cloth like a bed sheet works great for a backdrop for photos of finished builds. No distractions. You just want a neutral color that your model will not blend into...
