Do you know the D-558-1 Skystreak? No, that is what happend to me.

the kit isfrom Special Hobby, short-run with resin and PE, the fit is ok. Build this model and you are one of only a hand full of modelers, never seen one on a show.

Yes, I am aware of the aircraft. It was the US Navy and Douglas Aircrafts answer to the US Air Force and Bell Aircrafts X-1. Both were testing at Edwards AFB and pushing the limits of technology at that time in the late 40's. Part of "The Right Stuff" crew.

Very nice build. And yes, most rare to see built as a model. The X-1 gets all the displays. Do you have D558-2 also?

no have not, it is available from Special Hobby but only found this very cheap
