The Duke's Snakes in the Grass

These are two helicopters I got finished up today.

This first one is the 1/72 scale Hasegawa AH-1s Cobra. It was supposed to be done as a US Army bird but when I shot the OD over it I lost track of which was which. Oh well, they are both the same helicopter so it doesn't matter. I did this one as an Israeli Cobra:

This next one is the 1/72 scale Hobby Boss AH-1S Cobra and this one is done up as a US Army bird:

These aren't the best pics. I do need to re-shoot these. I'll try to get better ones tomorrow when I can figure out why my camera is acting up.

Thanks all for looking in, comments are welcome.

Two good looking builds Mark! You can never go wrong with a Cobra.

Although it's the original Helicopter Gunship, IMHO the Cobra is still by far the best looking - There's just something about it that looks right.

Those are two really great looking builds Duke - You've done a cracking job on both of them. Which kit did you prefer?

Great work that man!

Cheers

Stuart

Thanks for the great replies Carlos and Stuart. Most appreciated.

Stuart, it's hard to say which was better. The Hobby Boss kit did have softer plastic than the Hasegawa, and the fit seemed a bit better. I did like the detail on the Hasegawa though, they made all the smaller parts more refined and detailed. It was a fun comparison to try.

Thanks again guys for the awesome compliments!
