Got this one from Hobby Lobby.

Tested to see whether or not I could install the nose gear after painting. Nope. Not at all. This might be a gear up build after all.

Could you drill out the holes in the fuselage? give you room to insert one pin, slide it over then insert the other?

This has actually become a diorama idea. I do have a 1/144 C-17 in the stash. I was thinking of making a refueling diorama. Just gotta find some acrylic rod.

Nice! I like the dio idea - I've seen that before with a Matchbox 1/72 Victor Tanker and some EE Lightnings - It looks really good.
