Hmmmm. I have some small SW-kits still in my stash.

What would Ole Shakspeare say? "To build, or not to build... THAT is the question!"

Edit: Deadline ahead. Oops!
"Did you really pay a big amount of money for only half a figure?!"

Hey, thank you for visiting. I would happily, heartily say: “Build it!” That’s the only answer. Use the Force. Assemble those boxed and waiting sprues into more magical creations. A little over two months is time enough to finish....

I hope so. I just might get mine done in time. That's if something unforeseen doesn't happen first..... like a Rebel attack.......

I agree. I have to loosen the hold of the Thunderbolt and swing into full X-Wing mode! Fortunately at least for me I am building the X as ILM finished, so speed is part of it. A lot of CA blobs, masking gaffes and overspray are part of the build. I may save the armature for another build. I don’t know yet.

Ugh, the schedule is a tough one. :clockwatch: Still so much to do on my vignette. I'm sure the new movie will let the juices flow for us, but in the same time it's the deadline. May I suggest a 'movie and deadline hopping' to the release of the Han Solo movie in May?

Torben,

Good idea. Your idea makes a lot of sense. The U.S. release date for “Han Solo: A Star Wars Story” is May 25, 2018.

Is that the final title for the movie? Couldn’t they come up with something I dunno a little better?

That’s like...

“Michael Corleone: A Godfather Story,” or “Casino Royale: A James Bond Story,” to me. Overkill.

:shoot:

Is it possible to edit the thread title from

STAR WARS GROUP BUILD 2017

to...

STAR WARS GROUP BUILD 2018

or..

Star Wars Group Build: A Star Wars Story 2018

Really, Lucasfilm?

A Star Wars Story?

This title is dumbing me down as a write about it.

Yes, I think a deadline extension would be a great thing. The way things are going for me, time is getting gobbled up way more than I thought when I said that I would partake here.

I like the idea of an extension too. I still have three more Star Wars kits to build. An extension might get me another one finished for this Group Build.

Borg,

Your completion before deadline is duly and gratefully noted! Gosh every time I think of your figure builds and “Komet Collection,” I give thanks for your presence. And I fully intend to finish Blue One by December 15th. I’m getting the spray cans out of storage this weekend, and making decisions about how to mount it for filming.

Carlos and Mark,

(Note to self: stop thinking of Isaac Hayes as the “Duke of New York” from “Escape from New York” whenever I type “Duke”)

Deadline extended to May 25, 2018.
