I remember building that Kiowa kit in my teen years! It was the only game in town back then for a Jet Ranger in any scale. I don’t remember it being any worse than any other chopper kits of that time. I’m sure you’ll have fun Lyle!

Well... Im totally NOT into helicopters but couldnt resist an all-inclusive-kit in 1/48 (!) for only 16€ (!!!!!!). Yes, that means PE parts, crisp details, four belly halves instead of two and three very cool paint schemes!

Rotor blades are kind of problem. Not the painting, but its space... Thought about doing it like this or similar. Problem solved:

Ship based aircraft do have the charm of folding stuff... some aircraft fold as much as a transformers robot...

That is an excellent choice! I built one of those and it was a blast. I just wish I could find one with the anti-tank missiles attached to it.
