As a little side project I started a few of the Tamiya prehistoric beasts that I have. These are 1/35 scale. I choose a crocodile and a parasaurolophus. They will be painted with the same colours as the Hind :nono:
But that is because I just want to test some techniques on these models. Primarily the salt technique for chipping and weathering.

Here is one salt crusted croc. Well seasoned!

Next is the light colour on the belly. I will also do a few light passes on the whole salt crusted model. This should lead to irregularity with the colours.

A little progress to report. I have started with the detail painting. Since I have lot of stuff going on “real world” I am going for some simple relaxing brush painted details.

Very impressive! Those would be great as some 'lost world' dio's with some 1/35 figures.... :hmm: Actually...
