Hi all,

I recently received Eduard's Royal Class Fw 190A Early Versions, and decided to make a start on it. I don't normally work in 1/48 but over the last year or so, I seem to be getting a real liking for it. Eduard's stuff is pretty sweet, and this new kit more or less falls together by itself, yet seems to be real satisfying to build. I'm building this for a mag, but decided to pop a few images in here for you. This kit provides a resin cowl conversion for the tropical version, based in Libya, so decided to use it. It'd be rude not too.

Anyway, here's some photos. Hope you like them.

The technology behind our hobby's getting better and better each year. Five years ago I only had a weak smile for 72nd scale kits, cause they looked like toys to me. Last year I built a FlyHawk kit and had to rethink my point of view. But to be honest: all those super fiddly parts were quite annoying, lol.

This Royal Class' in my stash too, along with lots of Brassin stuff. Following with interest!

James, it's a thrill to see you posting again, as well as building. Your magnificent work has been missed. Outstanding progress so far man, keep it coming!

Mostrich, I agree about the fiddly parts on the small scale stuff. They do get quite annoying. If you thought the Flyhawk kit was annoying, stay away from Modelcollect then!
