Heres a probably speed buid
Icm produce both versions of this little biplane , i have both and start with the earlier version
Box'n'sprues
Also the box allow two sub versions that have differencies in the vertical rudder and a cut needed after the pilot head cushion .
I'll do the red version ,the second prototype.
The few subassemblies done and primer vallejo
Last night black various layers and aluminium done

Lovely kit. I had a fun time building it. Only the fit of the upper wing is a bit fiddly.

Seat done, only added seat belts, not sure correct but no referencies found.
Fuselages with strucrure glued
Ip and bottom structures
Seat and ip in place
And fuselage close
Color used vallejo and vallejo air (yes with brushes , he works too) for metals

Great stuff BSY
I use Vallejo Air with brushes as well - like you I've found it works well. Likewise I use Hataka Red-line paints (for airbrushes) and they work great too.

Hmmm.... never heard of the early Polikaov I-5. Interesting aircraft indeed. I’d grab one if they offered it in 1/48 scale.

Looking good so far. I am interested in hearing more on the kit as far as fit, issues, etc... That little bird has piqued my interest.
