Now that may side job is done I can get back to the model bench. It has been over a month.

I pulled out my 1/48 A-7D started to work on it but decided to toss it after looking closely at it. To many poor fits, mediocre paint job and overall finish. So it disappeared down the trash can.

I pulled out my old MIG-15 in 1/32 scale. Decided to finish this one over the next several days.




and as far as the shark goes...





now need to pickup some mr surfacer for the base coat.

While waiting for parts to dry on the MIG-15 I pulled out the Shinden II and the home made decal.

Took a while to cut out the decal. It is printed on white backer paper so had to cut right up to the edge of the color.







next step will be to put it on the model. This look like it will be "fun"

Ok, the decal was a complete bust. Didn't come off the paper with out getting all tangled. Thought that might happen. Just means I will have to cut it into pieces and jigsaw it together. (something for another weekend)

Did jump back on the MIG-15.

These are the colors I am planning to use.

Give it about an hour to dry then put on the first of the two tone green camo.

Now the top color.



If all goes well I will lay the second camo color down tomorrow night.
