You could add a magnet inside the fuse and mount the completed model to a post, in-flight, then add that background to recreate the power of the painting! Just a thought.

That's certainly an interesting idea Bruce and not far from what I was thinking myself - I've already cut the slot to take the stand that is supplied with the kit.
Having said that, it's not the worst kit I've seen and should build up OK. Certainly the fit isn't too bad once you've removed all of the flash.

Re: The SPAM Israeli Defence/Air Force Mini GB
In other news, I had a bit of a spurt on over the weekend and progressed my Lion Cub and Eagle. Both are having the last seam tidy ups now before primer. I've not taken any interior shots as they're both old basic Hasegawa and have very little detail. I did wonder about adding AM or scratch building but I've ruined too many kits by doing that in the past - besides, once the canopy's on you can see bugger all anyway.
I've tried to upload this post 6 times tonight - but somethings wrong with my internet and it won't allow me to access postimg... I'll try again in the morning.
Cheers!

Re: The SPAM Israeli Defence/Air Force Mini GB
Stuart, these are all looking good. Some day I hope to do one of those Avia's for my Israeli air force. The other two are looking sharp as well.
I hope to start on my Sufa soon. I have a couple projects in motion and will hopefully be able to get to it. I just have to work on these between meds-induced naps.

Isrealis had Bf-109s?? That aircraft certainly has all the features of a Messerschmitt. I agree the box art is really cool. I do like Bruce's idea of a wall mount. Interesting way to display it. Tell me more how to go about making that mount.portman wrote:Hey Guys,
So here's my first entry into the GB - Israel's first Fighter - the Avia S-199 'Knife'.
This is by far and away my favourite box art to date - I just love that image. I don't know a lot about the kit inside, I just bought it for that bit of art work. It's such a mean looking aircraft.
