The Duke Finishes Four More Vehicles

With all the model construction going on this past few days; I was able to finish another four models.

I'll start with the three models in the Airfix RAF Support Vehicles set. Yes, I'm counting this little model as one since I did have to put the three parts together before painting it. This is the British BSA M-20 motorcycle:

The second vehicle in this set is the RAF Tilly:

And the third model in this set is the Bedford MWC tanker truck:

I did minimal dusting on these since they were typically used on airfields where there is not much dirt and dust on tarmacs compared to streets, roads and fields.

This last one I finished is the Airfix Churchill Bridgelayer tank:

There you go, my latest finished armor models. Thank you for looking in, comments are welcome!

That was a nice "quattro" of builds!

Funny regarding the MC.. I watched the pics before reading your text and was asking for myself, how many pieces did that tiny MC actually have.. And the answer was in text! :-)

Nicely painted, the hand cannot really shake at all when trying to paint such tiny details!

:wow: on the motorcycle. It’s gotta be about the size to a quarter.

Mark, those all look great! I agree with Blacksheep about the size of the BSA bike. I’d love to see that one next to a coin of some sort for a little actual size perspective.
And of course you know I live that Churchill bridge layer. I do hope to see that one in person now that it’s complete. Perhaps at November AMPS. I don’t think that I’ll be at IPMS that month.
Just a thought on your vehicles on airfields being clean. You’d be surprised how much dirt that is on the paved roads on airfields. Many bases have unpaved roads as well and much of that muck gets tracked into the paved areas. If there is Martsen matting, more seeps up thru the holes. Lots of rainy weather in England to help turn it all to light mud...

Nice building Mark- that motorcycle would've had me all cross-eyed!

Thank you all for the fantastic replies! I've gotten more comments and compliments here than in all other Forums combined.

Kari, thank you. yeah, it was tough sometimes keeping my hand steady for that motorcycle.

Thanks Bruce! I do hope I can maintain that roll. I really want to get a lot of these Shelf Queens off the bench, as well as finish some of those projects I've been wanting to get to for awhile.

Thanks Blacksheep! Yeah, it's a tiny one alright.

Carlos, I'll try to get a shot of that bike next to a quarter or Exacto blade so everyone can see how tiny this little model is. It's a smidge over one inch. I do hope to have that Bridgelayer at the next IPMS meeting; I'll have to try to remember to bring it to the November AMPS meeting though. Then again, I might not even make it to the September IPMS meeting if this back issue doesn't get cleared up! Thanks for the word on the airfield vehicles. I'll see about getting some more light weathering on them.

Mike, thanks! I think I did get cross-eyed once or twice!

Medic, thanks! I appreciate that very much.
