Regarding the gauge, do you have a die punch? You could punch a clear piece of plastic such as a report cover then add a wash. I think the issue for me is how flat the gauge appears, though.

Thank you for documenting how you got this to look like the photos I saw on Facebook earlier. I’m really enjoying watching this come together and I think it’s looking great!

Thanks guys!

@Bruce: agree, that’s the thing, it really looks like a flat decal that has been ”thrown” on the panel.. true 2D... or actually more 1D... definitely not even close to 3D... :-D
But the size of it is big, much bigger than any of my die punches can punch... so need to think another solution. But your idea and suggestion is just great, many thanks Bruce!

Dab a bit of black wash to it. That should tone down the "newness" of the gauge colors.

I was going to suggest something similar to Blacksheep - could you tone it down a little?

Thanks Tom & Stuart for the feedback!

Yes, added couple of black washes, used Tamiyas ready made Panel Line Accent color..

And now much better... Will probably add some stains of brownish color as well.

Kari, that looks top notch in there!

That IP looks great and fits in beautifully. You matched it up nicely with the rest of the work you’ve done. Looks very nicely in place, just like it belongs and has aged with the rest of the vehicle. Nice!
