The Duke's Final Aircraft for 2018

As promised, here's "Old Burnt Face" finally off the Shelf of Doom. After three years, I just did what I had to do to finish this up.
This is the ancient Monogram 1/72 scale Boeing 737 done up in United Airlines livery:
You can see the wrinkled decals somewhat in the second pic. This is an excellent five-foot model!
Thanks all for looking in, comments are welcome.

Wouh!
There is just something with these massive modern civil aircrafts in 1/72 scale!

Ancient Monogram? Actually I’m pretty sure that it is originally an Aurora mold that Monogram acquired when Aurora folded back in the late 70s....
Nice work on your final bird of ‘18! It may not be flawless, but it is finished....

Thanks Kari! These civilian airliners are so difficult to find in 1/72 scale. I just love building as many of them as I can find.
Thanks Carlos! Yes, you are right; this is the ancient Aurora kit re-popped by Monogram. I actually have another one in the stash in the original Aurora boxing. If I can find a decent set of non-United airliner decals for it that won't crack, curl or wrinkle badly, (in other words, more modern sturdy decals!) I'll build it too.
And yes, it is finished and I'm so thrilled to finally have it off the Shelf of Shame!

Still looks good! I've had the same problem before too.

Thanks for the great replies guys. Bruce those are some wonderful pics. Now if I could only get mine to looks as good as the box art. I'll have it at the IPMS club to show off, but it won't be going to any contests.
Thanks Medic! Yeah, this seems to always be a major issue with these large aircraft and long decals. I have yet to find a kit that had cooperative decals.

Yes indeed! Look closely you'll see how badly wrinkled these decals are. They look like a burn scar. Thanks for the compliment my friend!
Thanks Lyle, I appreciate it.
