Just opened the box on this today I'm build it for the Eye in the Sky GB over at FSM but I would also like to share it with you guys.
I've got the small Eduard zoom set for this the kit doesn't really need it but I do like Eduards instrument panels.
I've also got Wings and Wheels no.12 Storch in detail and just ordered Schiffer Military History Fieseler Fi 156 Storch for $5 on Amazon for that price you can't go wrong. If interested here's a link
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/07643 ... UTF8&psc=1
Started working on the engine today it's beautiful and will have it displayed on the finished build.

Badassery, Clint! Such a great subject. One o' my favorite aircraft designs! Many times I have wanted to hit the buy button on the Hase 1/32 version.

Thanks for the photos Bruce that would make for a really cool diorama, Hobby Boss makes a 1/35 Storch it would be easy to gather the figures in that scale to make it.

I’ve been thinking of getting the Hasegawa 1/32 Storch....It would work perfect with some Verlinden and Airfix stuff.... I do love those STOL birds like this and the Lizzie.
This should be fun to watch!

My book came in today on a Sunday I wasn't expecting it to Tuesday since the snow storm but Amazon Prime always arrives in two days. It's a great book for $5 has a lot of good b/w photos.

Sorry, slightly late for the party, but very interesting subject!
I once had this Tamiya kit in my hands, with some add-ons, but it did not fit my budget at that time...
Not a color picture, but certainly an interesting one, a Storch with an extra fuel tank...

And with a close up...
I wonder how much longer this Stork could fly with that extra tank ?

You're not late the party is just starting, I had wanted this kit for awhile then my wife bought it for Christmas for me two years ago she's just the best.
So first the book like I said a lot of good b/w photos and a good history about the Storch as well.

Got some more done on the engine got some putty work to do in just a few places due to the way Tamiya has you join some parts but really not visible but I'm going to fill them anyway.

Been looking through photos trying to find a good shot of the underside of the exhaust to see how the opening is.
Last I've been trying to figure out what color to paint the block Black or light Grey

Looking at the photo that Bruce posted from what you can see of the block it looks to be the grey color so that's what I'm going with.
Thanks for looking in.

Looks like you could almost paint the block RLM 66 with a little metallic added
