Oh wow I've missed this going on down here. Beautiful on so far. Dragon instructions are a bear on their armor kits I have learned to always dry fit many times and to skip around in the instructions. On the Bison II kit they want you to add the top cases to the fenders then add that assembly to the hull instead of fenders to hull then the top cases. Why??... Anyway again great looking build so far, I also like the look of the puttied lines.

Before I proceed to the rest of the details, I wanna get the hanger deck situated.
That means...I gotta do some planes. As they are in the kit, the panel lines are pretty gross. As a test, I did a pair...I puttied the lines on the Hellcat, and just sanded down the TBF a bit.
Thoughts/opinions on the route to go are welcome!

Here they be...

Thanks dudes!
It's been slow going at the bench.
Did some more experimenting with the Hellcats...filled panels vs. not filled...gloss vs. flat...gloss/flat filled vs. gloss/flat not filled....PE prop blur vs. clear disk.
Long story short, my customer opted for not filled, flat, and clear disc.
I grew tired of messing with the Cats, so I did up the Avengers...

Oh man, I just got caught up on this. Wow, what amazing work! I think I've learned more about building and painting ships in this Thread that I have in talking with/following any other ship modelers! Way to go Jeremy! Man, you got some mad skills!

I’m really liking the scratch made prop blur. Looks much better than the PE blur.

I'm a stickler for the details and this one's got it all ! I'm with Carlos on the scratchbuilt disc for the prop. The PE one just doesn't look right.

Thanks dudes!

Moving along...finally!
For as large as the hanger deck is...very little is visible, which does make things a bit easier (requiring less stuff to be in there).

I got all the pieces that attach to the deck on and painted. It's now down to the tiny details, railings and guns!
