So it has finally happened: Borg is building a car! I picked this on up at a local discount store for €5,- just the right price for something to experiment with. The kit is building quite fast, everything fit nicely. And the instructions are clear: apparently with cars you build and paint subsections and then assemble them.

AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH,,,,,cool.

As I found my example from a Finnish flemarket with 2,5€
but then again, the previous owner had started to build the engine already with misplaced glued pieces...

I am not sure if there is going to be much the follow. Because this is a super easy build. I have sprayed the frame red (it is a Ferrari , I had to). And I am already working on the final assembly.

Yeah. I'll follow this too since you're doing a car. Besides, the title did say "California" so I just had to!

I have made quick progress with this build. Maybe a bit to quick. Because on closer inspection I found my red coat “lacking”. It had some great shiny parts but also some flat spots!




I have decided to give it a few coats of Future. I am expecting that that will give the whole model a nice shiny finish. I will post some pics when that is done.

Two coats of gloss did the trick. Next the windows and this thing is finished. Unfortunately the fit of the front window was not that good so I had to clamp it down.
