The Duke's Armor finished in March

It's now halfway through March and I'm finally able to post something finished. These are my two latest finished armor models .

This first one is of the Military Wheels 1/72 scale Soviet SG-122. It's a 122mm cannon mounted on a PzIII chassis and hull and covered with a casemate. It was a stopgap project that only had a bout a hundred or so built before the SU-122 was accepted:

The next one is the Trumpeter 1/72 scale Russian SA-6 Gainful. I made this as an East German machine that was repainted with the West German insignia after the German re-unification:

My apologies for the poor pics. These look better in person.

Well, that's all I have completed so far. Stay tuned, I have more to come.

Mark, your photos are not bad. But I do agree that those kits look better in person. Especially the SA-6. That looked great up close at IPMS on Friday. :shoutout:

Thank you Bruce! I try to get the right balance of light to show all the weathering and detail that I see in real life, but it doesn't always happen.

Thank you Carlos! I appreciate the compliments. I also appreciate all your help in determining what vehicles the East German army had at the time of the re-unification.

Thanks Floki! I appreciate that.

Thanks Lyle! Maybe someday I'll get someone to video me at Hobby Day as I work on a few models. And according to Bucky on another Forums they are minions not elves. Whatever they are, they do work hard! :giggles:

Never heard of that PzIII-based SG-122, neither of a Bundeswehr-Gainful. Now I'm tempted... :hmm:

Well done, Mark!
