Watched a couple YouTube videos and might go with the pre-shading method instead. I don’t know yet. :bag: :bored: :hmm:

After fighting with the PE for the left side on my '55 Chevy, I decided to tackle the pilot. I used Russian Marker Red instead of Orange. I didn't want to go with basic orange because it looks like bright orange. Russian Marker Red has a bit of orange tint than red. The photo looks red but believe me it looks perfect as a weathered orange.

Tom, if you’re using the Model Master version of Russian Marker Red, yes it has a distinctly orange tint to it. Maybe drybrush on some orange onto to fold highlights of the flight suit to get more of an effect.

Great minds think alike. I was thinking a drybrush of orange over the highlights would really make this guy's uniform pop.

I may do that as well. Maybe add a little black to tone the brightness of the gloss orange.

Not much of progress but boots and gloves are painted. Did I mention how much I hate painting figures? :bored:

You are making progress! The size of that rascal is another reason I do not like to do figures. Looks really good.
