Hey everyone, time for a Messerschmitt Group Build!

Rules are simple, must be a Messerschmitt, any model, any scale, any service colors!

Official start date is June 1st, anyone can join at any time though after June 1st send me a PM so I can add you to the list. IF you already started a build I ask that it be less than 50% complete by the start date. Group build ends at the end of this year, you can build as many as you like, just do me a favor and PM me when you are done, with a link of the picture you want showcased here on the first page along with what kit, and info about the markings.

I will hate myself in the morning...

I'm in with an OLD (1990-ish) Me-109G in 1/32 scale. Comes complete with moveable control surfaces! Can't wait. . . . .

I would like to join with either the barely started Me 410 Hornisse “Yellow 7,” or Johann Twietmeyer’s Bf 109 K-4 from “Operation Bodenplatte” on December 31, 1945. Dortmund, Germany. JG77 lost half its force in two weeks.

Red 7, W.nr. 330168, flown by Uffz. Johann Twietmeyer of 10./JG77, Twietmeyer was hit by enemy 90mm AA during the operation and had to belly-land, while trying to make his way back to German territory he was caputerd by Canadian soldiers.

Is the triangle coming off the antenna on the 109s a flag?

If so how does one model this on a kit? Thinking about doing this scheme for the GB but unsure as to what it was really made out of in real life? Cloth? What would it’s proper “stance” be while the aircraft sit on the ground?

It is a flag! If you read through this build review of the same kit, the builder used plastic to make this. I would use clear plastic sheet, relatively thin, painted yellow.

I’m pretty sure that the pennant is a sheet metal piece affixed to the antenna mast. It denotes a leadership position within the unit.
