USS U-2513

Post by Scruffy »

Calling this one done! AFV Club's 1/350 scale German Type XXI U-Boat finished as the USS U-2513 in the summer of 1945 after having been handed over to the U.S. Navy and sailed across the Atlantic to the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. I added a bit of weathering showing some streaking etc. and some dings around the stem and stern. As she was launched in September of 1944 and surrendered in May of '45, she did not make any combat patrols, and aside from some training runs was laid up in port in Norway, so she got a little dirty but not too badly dinged up.

Yeppers, that looks done did! That is a fine piece of work!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..
