Me too! Thinking how I want to tackle this seeing as it will be opened up cowl. Maybe someone can jog my memory a bit. You pre paint assemblies and then glue them together. You end up with a gloss like sheen from the glue getting on the paint, can this be blended back with a dull coat? Or during the wash process give everything a gloss coat and then you are fine?

This is such a great question. Some of the fellas here are using UV activated glue, which is really amazing, but I have found I still like scraping both sides and using a pipette of CA or an X-Acto knife blade in a handle (old blades) to apply thin lines of CA. For PE I use Canopy Glue with a toothpick and I wipe off any excess with a small piece of a wet t-shirt. Canopy glue is amazing. It has a little flex to it which is what plagues many assemblies.

I've had pretty good luck with covering shiny glue joins up with either a light dull coat over the area or dry brushing the area with a ground up similar color of pastel. Either one has worked very well for me in the past.

After reading Joe’s response I realized I misread your question. Apologies. I use Future applied with a brush for gloss and or gloss medium then UV flat as a top coat.
