I had first planned to join the "Mersu" group build with my Tamiya 1/48 G-6 kit, but changed my mind when I saw this baby:
This is a reboxing of Dragons kit from 2008, in other words it is pretty recent.
I don't have the kit yet, but ordered it earlier today and who knows if it arrives still this week. Just got a mail telling that my order has been updated to.. "Processing" !
The webshop I ordered if from is UK based ( modelhobbies.co.uk ), so delivery should not take too long.
But a lot of question marks are hanging in the air.
a) Out of the box build ?
b) Added after market stuff ?
c) most importantly, which camo / decals ? Not too convinced of the in-box alternatives (at least yet)
d) etc etc etc
Will see, first I need to get the box!

The Dragon kit?!?! Wish someone would take ownership of the 109E kit they made!
You could do just fine with an OOB build, maybe some realistic belts and some rivet detail should be more than enough. Schemes, which ones did you have in mind? Can’t wait to see!

Tx & jeps, it's the Dragon kit.
I have not decided yet which version, but would want to make something that flew on the Africa theater.
Have found a decal set from HAD models, but essentially it is for the D-series.
Not 100% sure how much the C version differs from the D version but I still can use the insignias etc with the decals.
Regarding potential AM parts, I will wait for my box to arrive before making any orders.

Really cool choice Kari - it's really nice to see a 110 being built - a great aircraft that is often overlooked for it's single engines stable-mate.

Yes, a great choice! I just finished reading the Osprey Duel Series “BF-110 vs. Hurricane I”. A nice coverage of the air battles during the Battle of France and Battle of Britain in 1940 between the two types.portman wrote:Really cool choice Kari - it's really nice to see a 110 being built - a great aircraft that is often overlooked for it's single engines stable-mate.

Either one of those is going to be awesome!
Now difference between the “C” and “D” models from what I quickly found:
“Bf 110 D
Heavy fighter/fighter-bomber, extreme range versions based on C-series, prepared to operate with external fuel tanks. Often stationed in Norway.”
So main thing is the addition of external fuel tank/s and or bomb rack as well.

Re: Kari's Revell 1/32 Bf-110 C-2/C-7
For the D series a dinghi compartment at the end of the fuselage (behind the tailplane) was introduced. It's visible as a white part on the drawing in Stuart's post. So the fuselage of a C can't be used for a D.
Kari, if you need some references drop me your email. I'll send you a link to my dropbox.

Yes, the D can also have an extended tail for survival supplies if downed. Some later Cs had a bomb rack. I think that the D had wing fittings for drop tanks as well as the optional long range bulged belly tank.
