One completed under the radar is the Swiss Bf109E-3 from Eduard (yeah big shocker!)

Used the Cutting Edge decals for the shark mouth though it was meant for the Tamiya kit so it didnt fit 100% perfect but I got it close for horse shoes and hand grenades. Also used the Kora resin control yoke but the decals were just not good at all, cost about $5 so worth it in the end for the accurate look. Quickboost resin radiator cowls and then removed the cowl hump and added the small humps on the fuselage gun cover to make it accurate for a Swiss 109 Emil. Also stole the exhaust pipes from an Eduard Brassin DB601 and added the Brassin tail wheel. This was a build I was wanting to do for a long time and finally did it.

Bravo Kevin, looks perfect!

Eduards 109 E is not the easiest kit to build, this succeeded perfectly!

Thank you gentlemen, ask and you shall receive:

This shot I did for fun before the landing gear was installed:

Had to fix a boo boo, the light blue on the underside aft fuselage had a run that was bright and clean, had to respray, gloss, weather, and dull coat it:

These next two show the proper Swiss cowl profile. Walkway marking on the wing is missing since the one decal fell apart and could not live with a mis match look.

Now another thing you will notice that is missing and I do it on purpose is that the counter weights and pitot tube is not installed. I just have bad luck with them and they always break off. Doesn’t matter if I use Mr Hobby cement, Tamiya extra thin or even super glue, they break off. So I call it my signature on the Eduard Emils. There yah go gents!

I hear ya on the breaking tiny parts. I HATE that! :headslap:
That Emil looks good. And that is a most whimsical mouth and eyes on there.

Great build. I love how you researched and the attention on detail on this export Emil. The differences are subtle but important for the aficionado.
