SPA Modeler

Next up i am building 2 Airfix 1/72nd aircraft at the same time. I started both and the weekend and progress is going quickly.

First up, the new tooled Gladiator Mk II.


I am adding some Eduard PE and a few Quickbost resin set. I'll be building an aircraft from 1401 (Met) flight as part of my Norfolk airfileds project, decals will be Print Scale.

The pit was quickly ready for paint with both resin and PE added.



After primer and paint, i added some light flory washes and some dry brushing. After this i could add the pre coloured PE.





And then the fuselage was put together and the lower wings and undercarrage added.





Don't think it will be to long before i get some paint on.

Lovely looking build Thus far Bish - I really enjoyed that kit when I built it.

So do you mainly build 1/72 scale aircraft then?

72nd Aircraft make up the largest part of my collection, almost half my stash. 35th amour makes up about a third, with the remainder being Sci Fi and a few ships.

You’re doing some micro work with that tiny PE stuff in the cockpit!

Brilliant work Bish, and I'm thrilled to have another 1/72 scale aircraft modeler here as well. That was a fast assembly so far! Way to go and keep them coming.

This has gone very fast. Both this and the mossie have been primed and had their undersides painted today. It has been helped by me having the week off work with a chest infection. So, as i can't do much outside and ned to take it easy, only thing to do is build modls.

Life is so hard at times

Sounds like a good recovery plan! I would say I hope you're feeling better but if it means you have to go outside and work, then long may the cold continue!
