I was able to get a little more done on the Sunderland this weekend. I completed the cockpit, PE and attached the assembly to the fuse. There's a few more items to install but I won't be working too hard on them since they mostly won't be seen.

I also stripped down the paint on the Bruno Turret and re-added some filler since I used alcohol and that dissolved some of the filler. No pictures, just messy striped paint.
I also worked on the torpedo launchers and painted the torpedo deck area on the Takao. I'll be able to move on with the superstructure after I mount said launchers

Super work!

Thanks guys. In 1/72 you wonder how far to go, being they're behind a canopy.

Indeed! I do love the harnesses and different poses of the pilot & co pilot…

I put the rest of the guts in the Sunderland and started to close it up. There are very few aligning pins so it's align some, glue, rinse and repeat when dry. So I have about half of the fuse glued up at this point.

Thanks Lyle,
I'll stick the brass tube to hold it up at the very tip of the keel. That, the base and the gel wave should work to hold it up in the take off position. The question that roles around in my mind like a dryer, do I put in PE prop blurs, make my own from plastic or go with nothing at all. I've done all three and it seems to me that nothing "looks" better. The other methods just look fake but with nothing, the brain can't make up it's "mind" if there's supposed to be something there or if what you know is supposed to be there is spinning.
Two cases in point.
The Martin where I made the prop blur disk.

And two where I just made the spinner/hubs look like they was turning

I think without the blur looks more real. It plays tricks with the brain and it thinks there's something there, because there's supposed to be
