Re: 1/48 A-7B VA-93
Thanks guys. I gave it another coat of Future today to seal in the decals so that I can begin weathering tomorrow. I also have been working on a pilot figure for possible placement in the cockpit. As you can see the fir of the canopy hood is pretty bad, so I’m gonna pose that open, and possibly sit a pilot in there... maybe...

Good job!
I have to say that the closer I get to that stage on the Avenger, the more I dread it.

To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

You’ll be fine Lyle. I think weathering is the fun stage of finishing. Although it can make or break the finish. Speaking of which.....
For the past few days I’ve been fiddling with the weathering on this one. Add here, dial it back there. I am now at the point where I’m gonna stop while I’m ahead with the weathering. I want this one to look well used, and I think that I’m there now....
Next up, top coats, final detail painting, and adding the last bits such as wheels and ordnance...

Now you’re cookin’ with Crisco! Super job weathering those panels and giving each one individual characteristics!! Everything harmonizes from that point! Excellent!!

John, I think that the A-7 is a natural for the Shark Mouth! But only a few squadrons wore them.keavdog wrote:Looking good Carlos - digging the sharkmouth
