This rascal was on the outside of the garage last night. Still there this morning. According to Wikipedia, it is a Cecropia moth, the largest in the US. It has no mouth parts or digestive system and lives about two weeks. Exists to lay hundreds of eggs. I think this one may be a male, because of the antennae. Wing span is about 6 inches.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..
Thats a beautiful one. Not the case in my bathroom yesterday though - had two of those flying bastards in my bathtub. Took a while to get them out. Some years ago I used to have a big red cat called Garfield - those moths were his best friends. He could spend hours catching them...
"Did you really pay a big amount of money for only half a figure?!"
ain't skeered of no bug. It was a "he" I think - based upon what Wiki said. Sad life actually. no mouth parts or digestive system. All it does is mate and die. Life span of about two weeks.
BUT, if the house is gone when I get home, he is a dead bug.

All we need now is Jody Foster and Anthony Hopkins...
"it puts the lotion on its' skin..."
"Surely I have made my meaning plain? I intend to avenge myself upon you, Admiral. I have deprived your ship of power, and when I swing 'round, I intend to deprive you of your life."
