Airfix 1/72nd Harrier GR.9A

Alongside the Shar, i am also doing a harrier GR.9A. This will be in the Op Herrick markings.

I'll be adding a resin cockpit as wel as resin exhauts and intakes. First task was to fit the side to the pit and get all the pit parts painted.

With the detail painting done the pit was fited into the nose which was then fitted to the main body of the fuselage.

Then got the wing fitted. There is a large gap behind the cockpit, but thats a resin piece so can't blame that on the kit. In general the fit has been very good.

I really need to get a Harrier kit. Never done one before. When I do, it will be of Black Sheep Squadron marking as shown in my profile pic. :giggles:

Very nice start Bish, these Airfix harriers are nice little kits. What're you going to do for load out?

Thanks Stuart. I least i got in intakes right on this. I'll probably go with similar to whats on the box, but will check some pics. I have a a Y loader to go with the diorama.

That resin cockpit definitely adds a lot under that big bubble canopy.

I'm always amazed how fast you can build kits and have such wonderful looking displays after you finish! Excellent so far!
